The starter is also called a motor. It converts the electrical energy of the battery into mechanical energy and drives the flywheel of the engine to rotate to start the engine.

Starters are classified into DC starters, gasoline starters, compressed air starters, etc. according to their working principles. Most of the internal combustion engines use DC starters, which are characterized by compact structure, simple operation and easy maintenance. Starter installation

First clean the armature and external drive mechanism with gasoline. After cleaning, check whether the drive is flexible; when installing, apply graphite grease between the friction plates of the friction clutch, and apply organic oil to the threaded filament part; the starter is installed on the engine, and the distance between the end face of the driving gear and the plane of the flywheel 3— 5 mm is appropriate to ensure that the gears mesh correctly.
